Máté is a Hungarian horn player who moved to London after completing his master's degree in Germany to join Southbank Sinfonia. He regularly performs at the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall and Smith Square Hall. He has also participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning awards as both a soloist and a chamber musician. Alongside his classical career, Máté tours with English DJ Pete Tong and The Essential Orchestra.
Máté has been teaching since 2019 and offers lessons across London as well as online. He is DBS checked and has worked on educational projects with students from leading schools and organisations, including Marlborough College, Harrow School, Haileybury and Imperial Service College, St Thomas' School, Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, and Bromley Youth Music Trust. He recently led his first horn masterclass at the University of Debrecen in Hungary.
