London-based musician, piano, recorder and clarinet teacher, trained at the Royal Academy of Music, where he graduated with First Class Honours and a Master’s degree with Distinction.

Ivan is an active freelance orchestral musician, regularly working with leading UK ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra and Britten Sinfonia. His performing experience at the highest professional level informs his teaching, giving students real insight into orchestral playing, technique, and musicality.

As a teacher, Ivan works with students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, exams, or conservatoire entry. His lessons focus on building a strong technical foundation, developing a confident sound, and fostering musical expression.

Ivan has a patient and structured teaching approach, tailoring each lesson to the individual needs and goals of the student. He aims to make learning the clarinet both enjoyable and rewarding, while maintaining clear progress and high standards.

He also has experience preparing students for ABRSM exams and music school auditions.
