Violin/ Music Theory
I am a London-based violin teacher with a passion for supporting each student’s individual musical journey. Alongside my performing career, I have over eight years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities, from early years to advanced level.
I strongly believe that one-to-one lessons are the foundation for every student. They give me the space to get to know each student individually, and to tailor my teaching materials, style, and technical approach to suit their needs. My teaching is influenced by approaches such as the Suzuki method and Paul Harris’s practice ideas. As a big fan of sports, I also think about violin playing from a physical and physiological perspective. I believe it is important to feel comfortable and free when playing, so helping my students build a healthy and sustainable technique is always a priority.
Alongside my private teaching, I am also a Creative Learning Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation, which focuses on leading school and community workshops. I regularly lead early years classes, group lessons, and youth orchestra sectionals with organisations such as the Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST) and Wandsworth Music Academy (WMA). It is always inspiring to see the power of students learning and making music together.
More than anything, I care about creating a sense of connection through music. I regularly collaborate with other instrumental teachers to organise chamber music workshops and informal showcases, giving students the opportunity to meet, play together, and learn from one another. I want my students not only to grow as individuals, but also to feel part of a supportive musical community where they can share their progress and enjoy making music together.
