Alexei Sarkissov is highly accomplished multi award winning performing and recording cellist. He completed his B Mus in prestigious Gnessin Special Music School (Moscow), M Mus in Performance and Pedagogy in Russian Academy of Music (former Gnessin institute) and holds Advanced Performance Diplomas from Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama, winning full scholarships to study at both. With over 25 years experience performing as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player Alexei has performed on top stages all over the world. Alexei is frequent visitor to major London recording studios, where he records music to movies and TV series such as Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife and Captain America

In addition to his busy performing career, Alexei enjoys teaching piano, cello and chamber music. With over 25 years teaching experience, to date, Alexei has educated students of various ages and skill levels, right from the beginners to very advanced. He has delivered workshops and masterclasses in UK, Russia, Brazil, Italy and France.

Alexei believes that every student has the potential to succeed and that is his role to create an environment which will nurture and encourage their steady progress.
